Guangming.com (Reporter Lei Miaoxin) On June 16, the World Internet Conference Nishan Dialogue on Digital Civilization press conference was held in Beijing. At the meeting, Ren Xianliang, Secretary-General of the World Internet Conference, introduced that the Nishan Dialogue on Digital Civilization of the World Internet Conference will be held from June 25 to 27 in Qufu, Jining, Shandong, with the theme of "The Era of Artificial Intelligence: Building a Digital World of Exchange, Mutual Learning, and Inclusion."
How to deal with new risks and challenges brought by the uncertainty of artificial intelligence technology? How to construct ethical norms for artificial intelligence? Ren Xianliang said that although countries attach great importance to it, it is far from enough to stay at the national level. Artificial intelligence brings complex and intertwined global security and ethical challenges, which are related to all countries and the common future of mankind, and should be discussed and decided by all countries in the world.
The first is to establish a new generation of artificial intelligence key common technology system to promote human intelligence while improving its safety factor, credibility and civilized quality.
The second is to deepen international cooperation in artificial intelligence laws, regulations, and international rules. The World Internet Conference will work with the international community to explore how to form artificial intelligence ethical guidelines, norms and accountability mechanisms to ensure that artificial intelligence technology is more transparent, safe and credible.
The third is to establish a self-discipline mechanism for the digital society, strengthen digital civilization, supplement it with "moral governance", and jointly respond to global challenges. For example, human traditional civilization and some conventional human ethics and common values, including "doing good for the better", "helping the weak and helping the poor", "win-win cooperation" and "democracy and equality", etc., all need to be practiced and extended in the digital society.
The fourth is to improve the public’s ability to identify information. It is necessary to comprehensively analyze the operating logic of generative artificial intelligence tools for popular science, guide the public to understand the role of different factors such as technology, capital, and religion in it, and remind everyone of the risks of cognitive reshaping, value solidification, and the spread of prejudice.
