Special Issue Topic: Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Governance and Risk Management

Submission deadline: June 30, 2025

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology on a global scale, how to effectively manage and manage its potential risks and ethical challenges has become a key issue in promoting sustainable development. To this end, international journals AI Open and Risk jointly initiated this special issue, focusing on the latest research progress in the fields of artificial intelligence ethics, governance and risk management.

This special issue aims to showcase interdisciplinary and forward-looking research results, explore how to promote the healthy development of AI technology through scientific governance and education mechanisms, effectively avoid ethical and risk issues while achieving innovative breakthroughs, and help promote the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Special Issue Guest Editorial Team Special Issue Theme Scope

This special issue welcomes submissions from researchers from the academic, industry and policy-making fields, and discusses the following (but not limited to) topics:

1. Build an effective AI governance framework 2. Respond to ethical challenges in AI applications 3. Seeking a balance between innovation and risk management 4. The role of artificial intelligence in promoting sustainable development 5. Comprehensive governance, risk and ethics to promote sustainable development 6. Instructions for contributions to artificial intelligence ethics education

Review process: All manuscripts will be reviewed independently according to the regular double-blind review process of AI Open and Risk.
