The State Council Information Office held a briefing at 11:30 am on March 5, and asked Shen Danyang, the head of the drafting group of the "Government Work Report" and director of the State Council Research Office, and Chen Changsheng, a member of the drafting group of the "Government Work Report" and deputy director of the State Council Research Office, to interpret the "Government Work Report" and answer questions from reporters.

A reporter asked at the briefing that in terms of artificial intelligence, international competition is becoming increasingly fierce. Under such circumstances, what do China thinks about developing cooperation with countries around the world, including Japan?

In this regard, Shen Danyang said that the development of artificial intelligence has now become a common issue facing the world. On how to regulate and guide the development of artificial intelligence, all parties around the world need to work together, and Japan also needs to participate in relevant international cooperation. China released the Global Artificial Intelligence Governance Initiative last year, in which it clearly expressed our people-oriented philosophy and the purpose of intelligence for goodness, and was committed to ensuring that the development of artificial intelligence moves in a direction conducive to the progress of human civilization.

Shen Danyang said that we advocate that countries around the world can utilize artificial intelligence on the principles of equality, fairness and openness, and at the same time attach great importance to establishing and improving artificial intelligence ethical standards. China actively supports the coordination and resolution of security and governance issues in the development of international artificial intelligence under the framework of the United Nations.

"From historical experience, technological progress is often an important force in breaking through various barriers and breaking protectionism. We hope that under the current international pattern, artificial intelligence can become a positive and positive energy to promote cooperation among countries and promote the development of multilateralism." Shen Danyang said.
