The conference includes six sub-forums and an international outstanding young scholars' ethics forum.
The theme of the first conference was "Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence-Eastern and West Perspective". Professor Kokolberg published a report titled "AI & Good: a Cross-and". He combined different traditions of China and the West to link the concept of good (Good) with the prospects for AI development, pointing out that building a bridge of communication between different cultures is of great significance to contemporary AI technology ethics.
Coulberg
Xu Yingjin, a professor at the School of Philosophy at Fudan University, published a report titled "and the of Data". He reinterpreted the economic implications of Confucian retro ideas from the perspective of historical materialism. He pointed out that in the face of the contemporary world, the individual privacy rights of the contemporary world are fully threatened by big data technology. The Confucian privacy concept based on clan consciousness may be able to effectively supplement the Western liberal privacy concept based on individuals after experiencing the modern interpretation of the concept of "clan". The combination of small data technology and home robot technology, as well as the rational use of blockchain technology, may provide a practical technical carrier for the revival of the above Confucian information concept in the context of population aging.
Xu Yingjin
Shiraishi, associate professor of the Department of Philosophy and Law, National Research Polytechnic University in Perm, Russia, published a report titled "Human-Robot (HRI) in : Value and ' '". She noted that robotic entry into society has promoted the establishment of human-computer interaction (HRI) as an interdisciplinary field of research. The ethical issues of human-computer interaction not only involve how a new technology should be applied correctly, but also include conflicts and integration between different values. The rapid growth of robotics technology may bring potential security and privacy issues. We hope that new solutions can be contributed through friendly cross-cultural communication and communication.

The theme of the second meeting was "Technology and Context". Professor Cornan published a report titled “as the of and an of”. Based on analyzing the relationship between artificial intelligence technology and modernity, he pointed out that modernity is a human trauma. Unfortunately, it still controls our cooperation and unity in this world. Although he is pessimistic about the future of mankind, he can still see human cooperation and exchanges between disputes and disasters, and see everyone unite to meet challenges.
Kernan
Wang Tianen, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at Shanghai University, published a report entitled "AI in". He pointed out that with the development of artificial intelligence, its ethical issues are becoming more and more important and special. On the one hand, the understanding of AI ethics is based on the understanding of AI itself and its development; on the other hand, the development of AI highlights the special situation of the development of ethics. Since the understanding of AI and its development is increasingly necessary to go deeper into the information level, based on the understanding of the perceptual relationship of information, AI ethics issues can be more well understood in the information context.
Wang Tianen
The theme of the third conference is “Ethical Considerations of Generative Artificial Intelligence.” Professor Nordman published a report titled “Back and the End of.” He pointed out that the meaning of the author () is the original man, the creator of the world, the creator of text and behavior. The birth of the author shows that the author's status is overturned. It takes place in the worldly and ordinary, and in the redefined human-computer interaction, which makes a new set of values and new subjects highlighted. When we see ourselves being imitated from the technological mirror that replicates our behavior, we are reconstructed ourselves.
Nordman
Duan Weiwen, a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and a professor at the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, published a report entitled "as a -Moral Guide and Its". He pointed out that generative AI is a new stage in the development of computing intelligence and digital thinking, and its essence is to automatically generate a new generation space on the real space and data space. With the development of intelligent agents such as artificial intelligence navigation and "co-pilot", digital data-driven intelligent experience has become a mechanism to guide human agenda behavior, which will make AI a guide to our lives and our knowledge and moral mentors, bringing us a new lifestyle characterized by intelligent domestication.
Duan Weiwen
Zhao Yanyan, a professor at the Department of Computing at Harbin Institute of Technology, published a report titled "Large with Human". Based on the large language model's understanding ability is similar to that of humans: Is human value calculating? Is human value at the individual level or the group level? What is the difference between value and morality? Three questions. By introducing the relevant tasks and algorithms for the alignment of value of large language models, she pointed out that large language models still face many challenges, such as human diversified values, conflicts between goals such as the "usefulness" and "harmlessness" of large language models.
Zhao Yanyan
Andres Kaminsky, a professor of philosophy at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, published a report titled "Is It or Is It ? with the of a Key in AI and Its for the of" online. Through analyzing four cases, he pointed out that modern technology does not necessarily develop completely according to the designer's original design ideas, and it is difficult for people to imagine the actual consequences of each specific technology in advance. The main reason for the gap between technical design and actual consequences is the opacity of technology, that is, people's cognitive limitations make it difficult to imagine all possible situations in the future; the relationship between the data, information and expected goals input during design is opacity, which leads to the above problems.
Andres Kaminsky ()
The theme of the fourth meeting is "Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Ethics". Professor Glenwald published a report titled Al- as : The View on, pointing out that the "subversion" brought about by artificial intelligence is gradually accumulated and therefore is prone to neglect. But at the same time, the destructive power of this "subversion" is huge, which will threaten human freedom and independence and damage the openness of the future. Therefore, it is necessary to keenly capture the potential ethical issues of artificial intelligence from now on and actively think about coping strategies.
Glenwald
Researcher Cheng Sumei from the Institute of Philosophy, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, published a report entitled The of, pointing out that persuasion technology has been applied in many fields. Computing products with persuasion function will cover up their persuasion intention, limit users' free choice, and induce users' Internet addiction. To cope with these ethical challenges, we need to transcend the concept of dichotomy between theoretical ethics and applied ethics, expand the semantics and pragmatic scope of the concept of responsibility, shift from passive responsible technical ethics to active responsibility technical ethics, and establish ethics about the future.
Cheng Sumei
The theme of the fifth conference is "Theoretical Foundation of Artificial Intelligence Ethics". Professor Mitchem published a report entitled Arrangement of Two AI. He pointed out that when we talk about artificial intelligence ethics, it is not enough to have "ethics". Starting from the ethical tradition that began with Aristotle, we can see that ethical analysis and political thinking are equally important to artificial intelligence ethics. He believes that it is not appropriate for artificial intelligence ethics to be just about "artificial intelligence". If we want to properly handle the negative impact of artificial intelligence, we must rely on changes at the socio-political level.
Mitchem
Professor Liao Beishui from the School of Philosophy, Zhejiang University, published a report entitled, Basic, and of, pointing out that the key way to solve the problem of how to give agents sufficient ethical considerations is to establish machine ethics based on human ethics. Machine ethics has four basic characteristics that are different from human ethics: (1) Current intelligent machines are manifested as weak subjectivity in ethical decision-making; (2) Ethical decision-making of machines needs to balance the value demands of different stakeholders, that is, have social balance; (3) Machines are easily influenced by cultural factors in ethical decision-making and should reflect cultural differences; (4) Machines need to explain ethical decision-making to human subjects, understand emotional expression, and attribution of responsibility, so they must have good human-computer interaction.
Liao Beishui
Professor Li Hengwei, the School of Philosophy of Zhejiang University, published a report titled Human-: The , , and , and they pointed out that both effective accelerationism and decelerationism strategies try to solve crises such as environmental damage and resource depletion through the path of human control technology, but these two perspectives are too simplified. The metaphor of Prometheus and Epimetheus reveals unpredictability in technological development and use, while the concept of the technology circle urges us to rethink how to find balance in this complex system of human and technology to achieve human-technical symbiosis. As a hybrid existence of human-machine, Cyborg provides the possibility for realizing human-technical symbiosis.
The theme of the sixth session was “Ethics of Big Language Models.” Professor Xiao Yanghua from the School of Computer Science and Technology of Fudan University published a report titled "The of AIGC ( ) in the Era of : Basic and", pointing out that the rapid development and wide application of artificial intelligence technology, especially AGI, will have a two-sided impact on human society. On the one hand, AGI is expected to become an advanced productivity that promotes social progress. But on the other hand, the abuse of AGI may also bring a series of fundamental challenges to humans. AGI's comprehensive penetration and replacement of human mental labor will damage human core intellectual abilities and will have an impact on the fundamental question of "why do you want to be a human being". Therefore, AI technology should avoid causing harm to human nature to prevent AI abuse, and set guidelines for AI applications and should not be used excessively and unrestrictedly.
Xiao Yanghua
Professor Yan Hongxiu of the Institute of History and Science and Culture of Shanghai Jiaotong University published a report entitled "Value and Trust". She pointed out that in the process of aligning human values with artificial intelligence values, deceptive value alignment completes the superficial value alignment with an immoral strategic trust. This kind of deception involves man-machine deception, man-man-man deception and machine-machine deception. With the emergence of learning from weak to strong and self-alignment, the study of deceptive value alignment is not only a problem that must be solved in building a good human-tech relationship, but also a necessary condition for ensuring that artificial intelligence is good.
Yan Hongxiu
Professor Wang Guoyu published a report entitled From Value to Value : Its and, where she discussed the theoretical feasibility, implementation methods and limitations of "value alignment". On the basis of clarifying the connotation and importance of the concept of "value alignment", a number of original experimental studies conducted by Wang Guoyu's team were shared. The conclusions of the research not only prove that the value alignment method of the current behaviorist approach can effectively improve the moral ability of large language models, but also reveal the limitations of this approach.
Wang Guoyu
During the conference, an international outstanding young scholars' ethics forum was specially set up. The forum was hosted by Zhu Linfan, a young associate researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Ethics and Human Future of China Association for Science and Technology-Fudan University. Jia Xiangtong, a professor at the School of Philosophy of Nankai University, gave a report on "Not Be a Fifth in". He pointed out that an interpretability principle needs to be added to the principle of artificial intelligence ethics, and this principle should be integrated into the principle of openness to further consolidate the comprehensive framework of artificial intelligence ethics; Qu Jingjing, an associate researcher at the Governance Research Center of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, gave a report on "for GPT with -". She pointed out that the advantage of using machine evaluation lies in its economics. According to her interview scale, she believes that China's large language model can effectively enhance the doctor-patient relationship. Real doctors rely on years of experience to make judgments on patients, and machines should be consistent with human command. Teng Yan, a young researcher at the Governance Research Center of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, gave a report "Human into LLMs: An of , , and". She introduced human values to design values and pointed out the ethical and technological challenges facing this practice, which his team is evaluating and improving; Alix Andra Kazakovva, a doctoral student at the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave a report "In AI We Trust? The on AI in", she described the top-down image of the AI revolution and pointed out that people will produce a fragmented self-projection when interacting with AI.
During the exchange speech at the closing ceremony, Wang Guoyu and the experts and scholars present imagined new progress and new challenges in the field of artificial intelligence technology and ethics in the future.
