China News Service Tianjin, May 18 (Pang Yuwen) "While promoting human-machine collaboration, cross-border integration, and enhancing human welfare, AI inevitably triggered a series of ethical and legal issues, and ethical governance has become the field of artificial intelligence "On the afternoon of the 18th, at the high-level expert seminar on artificial intelligence ethics at the 7th World Intelligence Conference, experts from academia and industry gathered in Tianjin to exchange on the ethics of artificial intelligence.
Experts at the meeting pointed out that artificial intelligence is a strategic technology leading the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, and is the commanding heights of global scientific and technological competition, and is profoundly changing people's production, life and learning methods. Experts pointed out that we must continue to promote dialogue, exchanges and cooperation in the ethical governance of artificial intelligence technology, continuously improve the rules of artificial intelligence ethical governance, and promote the healthy development of artificial intelligence.
It is understood that this seminar is themed "Artificial Intelligence Ethical Risks and Countermeasures", and invited Duan Weiwen, director and researcher of the Science and Technology Philosophy Research Office of the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, professor of the School of Philosophy of Fudan University, and China Association for Science and Technology-Fudan University Ethics and Wang Guoyu, Director of the Institute of Future Humanity Research, Zeng Yi, Researcher at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance Research, Zhang Linghan, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the Institute of Data Rule of Law, China University of Political Science and Law, Research on Standardization of China Electronics Technology Dong Jian, deputy director of the Information Technology Research Center of the Institute, Yang Yudong, senior expert of Alibaba Cloud Research Institute, Hu Zhengkun, director of artificial intelligence ethics and governance research at SenseTime, and other guests focused on the ethical risks and challenges brought by new artificial intelligence technologies and the ethical governance of artificial intelligence. Four issues, including key issues, strategies and actions for responding to artificial intelligence ethical issues, and standardization of artificial intelligence ethical governance, were exchanged to improve the security governance capabilities of artificial intelligence and promote the healthy development, safe development and sustainable development of artificial intelligence.
Experts at the meeting said that we should spread the values and cultural concepts of science and technology for goodness, strengthen scientific popularization to the public, and guide the development direction of artificial intelligence technology ethics and standards.
The seminar is hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and the Tianjin Municipal People's Government, hosted by the Science and Technology Innovation Department of the China Association for Science and Technology and the Tianjin Association for Science and Technology. It is more than 20 intelligent technology fields and ethics from government departments, universities, and technology-based enterprises.
