In recent years, with the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, AI fraud methods have emerged one after another, and fraud tactics have become more concealed and confusing. Many criminals use AI technology to forge sounds, images and even videos to commit accurate fraud, which has brought huge property losses to consumers. In order to help everyone be vigilant, the following lists several common AI fraud methods and provide corresponding prevention suggestions.

1. Forge the voices of relatives and friends and seek help urgently

Example: "I'm in a car accident, I'm quick to transfer the surgery fee!" "I'm arrested and need bail!"

Fraud means: Use AI voice synthesis technology to imitate the voice of relatives and friends, create emergency situations, and induce transfers.

Precautionary advice:

When receiving similar calls, stay calm and verify the other party's identity through various methods to avoid being deceived by panic.

2. Impersonate the public security, procuratorate and court, intimidate and threaten

Example: "Your account is suspected of money laundering and needs to be transferred to a secure account!" "Your bank card has been stolen and you need to cooperate with the investigation!"

Fraud means: Forge a "police officer's certificate" or "wanted order" through AI face-changing technology, create panic and require transfers.

Precautionary advice:

The public security, procuratorial and judicial organs will not request transfers by phone or text message. When receiving such information, they should immediately hang up and call the police;

Check the contact information of public security, procuratorial and judicial organs through formal channels to avoid believing in unfamiliar phone calls or text messages.

3. False “smart investment platform”

High-yield temptation

Example: "Insider news, make sure to make a profit!"

Fraud means: Use AI to generate false profit screenshots or forge "expert" videos to induce participation in false investment platforms.

Precautionary advice:

Any investment that promises "guaranteed capital and high returns" is a scam, and do not believe in so-called "insider information" or "expert recommendations";

Before investing, be sure to verify the legitimacy and credibility of the platform through formal channels.

4. Emotional fraud

Example: "I discovered an investment loophole and took you to make money!" "I am sick and need money to treat..."

Fraud means: generate virtual images through AI, disguise as "tall, rich and handsome" or "white, rich and beautiful", and commit fraud after establishing emotional trust.

Precautionary advice:

Be cautious when making friends online and avoid easily trusting strangers’ investment advice or help information;

Stay rational, not be confused by virtual images, and enhance self-protection awareness.

5. Disguised customer service personnel

Defrauding personal information

Example: "Your account has risks and you need to verify your identity!" "Your express delivery is lost, click the link to make a claim!" "The product you purchased has quality problems, and you can apply for a refund."

Fraud means: Use AI voice or chat robots to disguise themselves as customer service and induce sensitive information such as bank card numbers and verification codes.

Precautionary advice:

When receiving such calls or messages, be sure to verify the other party's identity through official channels (such as official Apps and customer service phone numbers), and do not trust unknown links or QR codes easily;

Protect personal information and avoid arbitrarily authorizing biological information such as faces and voiceprints.
