The 2021 Zhongguancun Forum with the theme of "Smart, Health, Carbon Neutrality" opened at the Beijing Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone Display Center on September 24.

At the forum's plenary meeting, Director Xue Lan of the National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional Committee released the "New Generation Artificial Intelligence Ethical Norms", which put forward six basic ethical requirements, including improving human welfare, promoting fairness and justice, protecting privacy and security, ensuring controllability and credibility, strengthening responsibility, and improving ethical literacy. At the same time, 18 specific ethical requirements for specific activities such as artificial intelligence management, research and development, supply, and use were put forward. It aims to integrate ethics into the entire life cycle of artificial intelligence, provide ethical guidance for natural persons, legal persons and other related institutions engaged in artificial intelligence-related activities, and promote the healthy development of artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence governance is the common responsibility of many parties such as the government, academia, and industry. As a member of the National New Generation Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional Committee, Megvii has participated in the drafting of the National "Principles of the New Generation Artificial Intelligence Governance" and also contributed suggestions to the "Ethical Norms of the New Generation Artificial Intelligence" from the perspective of the enterprise.

Megvii actively participated in the compilation and implementation of standards related to artificial intelligence governance, supported the compilation of the AI ​​ethical standard document "AI Ethical Security Risk Prevention Guidelines" issued by the Information Security Standards Commission, and jointly promoted the drafting and formulation of national standards for AI risk management. At the same time, Megvii is a pilot unit of the two national standards, "Personal Information Security Specifications" and "Face Recognition Data Security Requirements", and is also the first domestic artificial intelligence enterprise to pass the international privacy protection standard ISO/IEC 27701.
